I’ve 100% seen this. I made complaint #2 and HR literally said .. but the branch is doing so well. I responded with that’s we are excellent despite her not because of her. 3 months later I gave up and left.

Lot of bad managers are great at upward management and bad at managing their people. So they create a reality distortion with their leadership that everything is rosy while their people suffer. More often than not that’s why they stick around

I was the 12th employee in 8 years impacted by the bad manager. All filed the same/similar issue over time. Some eventually quit, others HR eventually moved under different managers, I was out on a PIP to start the process of getting me out. She was finally let go 6 months after I left.

Well we did all that and the end result was a PIP and here we still are.

Doesn’t work. The toxic manager has already manipulated the narrative to pin the individuals reporting as the issue of department culture. This manager came in and within two years has caused 11 staff members to leave and has gone through 3 assistants. C-Suite knows she’s the issues but nothing has been done about it. They just keep pushing people into the department like the black hole that it is.

I’m a business operations specialist and I got hired to help get the company to a higher standard. In less than 90 days of getting hired I clocked the problem why the company wasn’t progressing. It was a bad manager. I was the only one speaking up for almost a year. I had to keep telling the other managers in order to get HR to look into him they too needed to speak up. They finally did and 8 weeks later the bad manager demoted himself then resigned.

That’s not true. Most likely, it’s execs who have those promotions, so make a complaint about one bad manager and you’re targeting the exec’s choice.

No. I disagree with you. SLT know who the problem children are. They CHOSE to keep that person in management. And will only remove them when FORCED!
