I require the guys to put string lines up that way I can come by and check to work later and I don’t have to pull measurements as much

get measurements off plans... layout walls with string line... double check with GC if walls are correct... put pipe in between strings... comeback to framer's wall being 3ins off... must be the plumbers fault

I respect your opinion but if I see a plumber throwing string line he already failed in my books but it’s good to play it safe

and if architects and engineers would put more details and measurements in our job would be far easier. The worst thing for those measurements are un clear brick ledge measurements.

Ive never personally laid out a wall. We typically have multiple designated string line points that we measure off of to break up the length of a pad.

Plumbers should run the job not the carpenter.

plumbers know more than anyone will ever know that that they know. if you are a plumber, you know what I'm talking about.

Not every situation calls for full string layout but if your in the middle of a 100' building best be pulling them strings! Good video

“It’s not easy.” 🤣 it is definitely easy if you do it correctly after you’ve been properly trained. True fact that we are the first one in and our elevations never matter overhead because we have rise and fall throughout for our vents and drains… thank goodness in commercial we have robots that lay the walls out while we’re sleeping at night

What sucks is when the prints are wrong. You find out after the slab is poured.
