@dampscope: I think the bigger issue is the commercial side. Royal Canin is a global business with a huge marketing budget, and like any large company, its goal is to sell products. That doesn’t automatically make the food bad, but it does mean owners should be aware of the commercial influence behind the messaging. Home-cooked diets, when properly formulated, are a perfectly valid option too.

I only feed my dogs raw with fresh fruit and vegetables all the super seeds fresh fish and oils etc every day of the week no animal expert can tell me my girls are not getting all their nutrients 💯💯💯

I can never get behind a pet food that costs as much as they do. Quality doesn't matter if you can't afford it. The price is the biggest draw for me. The balance of quality and reasonable price
