They won't even do the absolute minimum of getting a dehumidifier or a ceiling fan. Both use way less energy than an AC unit and improve comfort significantly compared to doing nothing.

It’s not just the air conditioning thing. But when you explain how to cool off the house at night and use fans and windows to create airflow they blow you off. For crying out loud, stick tinfoil on your south and west windows for a week. It’s not hard.

I was in Spain and Portugal about 2-3 weeks ago. We spent more time outside than inside. Texas heat is way worse
