As someone who was in sales for many years (and is black), the white guy left out a key factor for selling to black people. Black people also feel secure when a trusted relative or public figure promotes or says positive things about whatever you are selling. So, you often have to get the "buy-in" or green light from someone they respect (like their adult child(ren)) or their sibling(s) before the sale can be finalized. Otherwise, they will be indecisive and will not move forward if they do not have approval from those close to them regarding their buying decision.

We move together but we don’t. We are all at the point of the things he suggests yet we all just got here so to speak .i pray we as a people are doing the generational wealth etc. in 50 years I pray his future ancestors and others won’t be able to use this or anything else against our future ancestors.

I agree with both the young fella quoted: from his experiences which means those were his experiences and weren’t dismissing his experiences. On the other hand as you’ve stated as a black American there’s a different view and totally real life experiences you ARE living as a black man. So all in all both have great takes away as well real life lived experiences. Happy Friday Sir.. great content

You don’t “Sell” to these people. You help these people solve a problem and offer a solution

I've been a salesman for decades. A great salesperson doesnt sell to COLOR. The prospect will tell you their motivation, needs, emotonal buttons. Unfortunately WHITE PEOPLE begin every calculation with race and color--that could throw the sale off by a mile. I was born in Nigeria. For a salesperson to generalize and attempt to predict personality solely from the target's color and race is the greatest flaw, greatest weakness of American culture.

None ya :
What I got from it is that I am a black person. I am not Black, but I buy more like the “Black buyer” profile he described. I do not care about a salesperson’s politics, and I am not unloading my personal problems onto them. What actually resonates with me is anything tied to generational wealth and changing the trajectory for my family. I grew up poor, moved into lower middle class, and now I am middle middle class with a daughter in the upper class because building for the next generation has always been my priority. So the approach he labeled as “selling to Black people” is the one that fits me.
