Sure, let's blame the coloring and not the insane amounts of sugar added into these products

misinformation done here. tell full story about red 40 in Europe. it's not banned I just not in use due to requirements to include warning label on packaging. People stopped buying those products and industries choose to move to better alternatives.

It probably rates 3rd beacuse the goverment isn't even required to check food quality safety to put it on the shelf.

Hold up. Saying it is used all the time is incorrect. Red 40, and so on are all legal, but require a warning label, so most companies find alternatives, because nothing ruins a product in a semi-health-based society as a warning label.

while red 40 is used under that name, is it heavily regulated and food containing it has a warning label which states “may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children”. The report on food safety and quality is from the 2022 GFSI, but the newer numbers from the RFSI (the successor to GFSI) ranked the US 4., behind Portugal, France and the UK. Your video is good, but kinda misleading since a few important facts are left out. I know this wasn’t intentional because I’ve seen a lot of your content and have enjoyed it a lot. I know we all make mistakes, and I hope you keep up the good work you’ve had in previous videos👍

To this day I still have arguments from people in Europe about this. They don’t even know their own food safety laws. They think that they have banned all of these artificial colors when in reality? They are allowed to be used. They just have to do exactly what the US does. It has to be clearly labeled. They have maximum amounts of the food coloring that can be used by weight. And in the case of some, there may have to be an additional warning on the label. But they are 100% legal to use. They are sold there. In fact, the United States has flat out prohibited more artificial colors than European Union has.
