The fact Armand never lied, he genuinely did not know for centuries that Marius was alive, they he had somehow made it after Armand saw him burning. And I think that crushed me the most. Because for centuries, he could have come back for Armand, could have saved him, but, he just left him, moved on as if armand really meant nothing to him.

So… Marius was always my favorite from the books. That being said, he is not a bad actor by any stretch but I feel like they kinda ruined him in the show. Not that Vincent Perez was accurate either but he did play the role extremely well. But the way they make him seem all manic and crazy just doesn’t fit Marius at all.
