the writers fully forgotten that homelander is a trained supersoldier, throughout his childhood he was brutal beaten and trained by supersoldiers, hell he was going h2h with Maeve while holding back and didn't want to fight her. not only that but he lasered kimiko in half in the older seasons without even trying.

They should’ve did scorched earth homelander is on a rampage for 3 episodes taking out city’s and critical infrastructure and they end it with solider boy butcher kimiko Ryan kimiko gets taken out Ryan on the brink of death solider boy injured butcher healthy and butcher holds homelander till soldier boy blast both of them leaving them powerless and they both fight no powers butcher wins obviously but it’s not enough butcher wants all supes gone and we end with that interaction between butcher n Hughie
