Un papel rechazado por Prince terminó creando uno de los personajes más locos de la historia del cine. #actores #christucker #celebrity #prince #celebrity Prince rejected the role. Tucker made it his own. And cinema was never the same. The most curious part of this story isn't that Tucker got the role. It's that neither of them wanted that wardrobe. Prince rejected it for exactly the same reason Tucker would have said no if someone had shown it to him beforehand. Both thought the same thing. The difference is that Tucker arrived on set without knowing, put on the costume, and something inside him simply let go of all control. That's what cinema can rarely plan: the perfect accident. Luc Besson designed Ruby Rhod with a specific energy in mind, almost impossible to describe. Prince would have brought a calculated, measured, artistically intentional version. Tucker brought real chaos. Unscripted screams. Movements nobody expected. A character that didn't exist until Tucker decided to invent him in real time in front of the cameras. Did you know that Besson also considered Jamie Foxx for that role? Two completely different universes. If it had been Foxx, Ruby Rhod would be a different character. Memorable, perhaps. But not that one. What makes Ruby Rhod great isn't the clothes or the screaming. It's the feeling that the character could explode at any second. And that can't be written. It has to be lived. Prince was right to protect his image. Tucker was lucky not to know what he was getting into. And we were lucky to see what happens when someone walks into a movie with no fear of looking ridiculous. Sometimes the masterpiece is born exactly where nobody wanted to be.
