(on instagram :-) but still wanted to share here since tiktok is where it all started!!) this still doesn’t feel real and it feels like it might all disappear tomorrow but even if it does i’m still so grateful because it’s been such a fun ride and i learned more about myself. thank you for being here it means so much to me more than you know! sorry i’ve ignored the requests for pickled onion recipe the thought of having to measure things made me want to vomit so i avoided them and then i felt guilty about it. for a small mason sized jar recipe slice thin 1 red onion. bring to almost boil 1 cup vin, 1 cup water, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt. add aromatics if you’d like- this is just personal preference but i like to do fennel seeds because i actually like the taste of them pickled. also bay leaves. pour the brine over the onion in jar, and let it sit out for 30 minutes to 24 hours depending on your preference. keep in fridge to enjoy! (i usually do more water to vinegar ratio since i eat a lot of them at a time and want them more like a salad than a pungent pickle.) pickled onion: - 1 medium red onion - 1 cup vinegar - 1 cup water - 1 tbsp sugar - 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt - aromatics (i do fennel seeds and bay leaves)
