It’s cause we do live under the firmament and nothing can leave 😁

Hot air/smoke rises at the fire, when it cools, it no longer rises. Then the jet stream carries it along whatever the weather pattern is at the moment. Normally, air gets cooler as you go higher, allowing polluted air to rise and disperse. During an inversion, a layer of warm air sits above cooler air near the ground, acting like a lid on a pot. The smoke gets trapped underneath, so it stays where we breathe it instead of rising away.

You know smoke isn't air right? You do understand that smoke is made up of particulates, unlike air.. You get that right??

Mich82 :
The Bible clearly states the four corners of the earth, also that the earth was placed on pillars that can not be moved. The heavens were made and the waters were separated from the waters and the firmament was put in place. We do not spin millions of miles a hour in space. There is no space.

It’s so bizarre to me on how people can really cling on to a single word, and completely misunderstand its meaning.
