It’s either fetishizing or insulting us. Never in between. No respect or understanding at all. People want the label but not what come from it. Although it may sound negative, we have to come to terms that most people won’t ever see us as humans. It gets reallyyy hard sometimes, but I wish everyone peace & strength ^_^

Huge part in why I hate any social outing I was always called an “autistic loser” even before my diagnosis I always had weirder interests I never fit what people saw as normal people barely saw me as human I’ve been isolated for years and despite that people still try and baby my diagnosis I want to be normal I don’t want people to look at me and see a simply violent person but people couldn’t understand it

My big brother has autism, and I feel so bad for him. He physically can’t do anything on his own, he has a higher spectrum of autism where he hardly speaks, he mumbles a lot of stuff tho, or just says yes or no, but he can’t get dress on his own, do his hair, shower, and all of that stuff on his own. It’s so sad that people treat autism as just some stupid thing people have.

My sweet boy is 4, can't talk, can't use a toilet, stims 24/7, doesn't understand danger, and so much more. When people find out my son has autism, they think he's Albert Einstein or Sheldon genius. Media has completely warped that autism is a disabling disorder.
