This is something that I've or never might experience, caribbean and latin people never apologize, in my family we just pretend the next day like nothing happened. I never thought that a sorry could change a person.

Also let's say the sister didn't apologize It would be totally valid to bring up the issue later "I felt really bad when you talked to me like that" It's a difficult conversation, specially when you're both not doing that well mentally, but it's important to not let this kind of thing fester inside your head Specially men who tend to jump into conclusions really quick, like this brother, who instantly jumped from "she didn't even listen to me" to "she hates me, she doesn't respect me" and then switches to "I'm not enough, it's all pointless" The cognitive jump is way too drastic

I dont know if its intentional, but at the start their height was roughly close, but at the end the older brother is WAY taller. Its like at the start he was cut in half by the sisters harsh words, but by the end he grew and is able to stand proud
