@agentic.james: Claude Code forked subagents changed how I deploy subagents. A normal subagent boots fresh with just a summary, a forked one carries the entire conversation history of the session that spawned it, so you can evaluate one decision from four different perspectives without re-feeding any context. It can actually save tokens too since nothing gets reread.
Also, I learned the hard way you have to brainstorm in the chat area turn on fable. If you have some give it all of your brainstorm tell him your brainstorm and then tell them to build the design and then I will tell it to make a handoff and I put it in code. It saves me so many tokens in the chat is so much better to be in design of any ideas that you have. I also started naming my agents things like the design assistant, the planning assistant, etc., so I can reference it when I’m speaking to it and it catalogs it there a lot easier and it’s simple for people that aren’t as techy.
