A bath every two weeks? I don’t even want to think about the smell aboard a submarine. 🤢

Are there any places where you can tour a submarine? I would love to go inside one.

I was actually turned down by the navy because I was too tall and my shoulders were too broad to live in the cramped conditions of ships. Ended up joining the army

FYI, you don't "use the bathroom " on a naval vessel, you hit the head. The naval term for bathroom is head. The term "head" for a ship's toilet dates back to the era of old sailing vessels. The crew's latrines were placed at the very front or "head" of the ship. Because sailing ships were pushed by the wind, the front was the only place where foul odors would blow away from the rest of the crew.
