Look. In her defense her policy was to watch an episode with me and determine if I could watch it. Unfortunately the episode that happened to be on was the Panty raid episode 🥲. Didn’t get to watch it until high school

I watched SpongeBob as a kid and later on I personally thought that they went too far sometimes, ( such as Plankton trying to get ran over ) but if I had a kid ( probably between 4 to 5 ) that wanted to watch SpongeBob, then I would probably have them watch those risky episodes with me first, that way I could properly educate them about certain issues ( such as $u!€ide ) in an age-appropriate way and THEN allow them to watch the episode on their own.

I was raised on PBS and my family were all teachers so I was more interested in an educational type show so I found SpongeBob and shows like that kinda weird and annoying. 😅

it was mostly those types of parents that wouldn't let them watch SpongeBob because either the show was making kids Alot dumber instead of smarter, or the show was a negative influence amongst children by committing heinous, despicable or "violent" acts when they become older or those types of Christian parents that refuse to let them watch because "iT Is DeMoNiC" excuse

I had a friend who wasn’t allowed to watch Spongebob, so when she came to my house once, I turned it on on my TV and let her watch some episodes before her mom came to pick her up

My mom didn’t want me watching SpongeBob cause she thought they were cussing and weird. I still watched it at my grandparents and my dad’s house. After awhile she just gave up and I quote SpongeBob around her religiously even now 😂

I was one of these kids. I can confirm, i still watched in secret. 😅 my mom used to say it was because his voice, and the intro song was too repetitive and annoying. I was basically addicted to SpongeBob and she got fed up one day.🧽
