I think this FBA stuff is a psyop. My ppl can’t be moving like this. After all we’ve been through, no way we are treating other Blk ppl like this. Ain’t no way.

I say this all the time. This ‘FBA’ stuff is an internet grift. Many of them do not know Black American history - they only praise the commercialized part of it to turn their noses at other black people

Dirt Cookies!? Oh, the ignorance. It’s clay that we use as a binder to grab worms out of the intestines. Sometimes it’s for anemia, minerals, and other things, including pregnant women. It’s not their fault they were not raised on traditional medicine. Never heard of any Haitians eating it because they were hungry.

Thank you! Black Americans are not exempt from American exceptionalism and xenophobic rhetoric and we need to talk about this more.

I’m not inferior to anyone! I have never known my people to eat dirt. I have seen a few people in Haiti eat a specific sun-dried clay when they were pregnant.

I'm 66 and remember the "mud pies"
my mom is from the south and the more I hear about your Gullah Geechee traditions and ways of living, I feel we're Gullah Geechee's that moved North.
I wish i could ask her but she passed 3 years ago.
Thank you for always enlightening us❤️

When I was little and I’d go visit, my great grandma and Mississippi we used to always eat the red clay dirt. It tasted pretty good. I didn’t learn till later on as you know an adult that it’s actually filled with a lot of iron and it’s very good for you.

This accusation came from a documentary. I remember watching it years ago when I was a teen. A woman was making them and they weaponized it for poverty corn

In Puerto Rico clay / soil is used for medicine. Ingested and skincare. It’s a practice that’s been around for generations.
