Yup! Left me angry. 😡 It could have been next level incredible. But… For me, a movie that kills a puppy, tortures and kills dogs. Looses all credibility! Zero reason for it, added nothing to the story.

Homer didn’t kill a puppy. He lets the only dog in the story live over twenty years, dying the moment he recognizes his master who strategically won’t reveal his identity by expressing his sorrow/wistfulness about his neglected pup-now-old-man’s-best-friend (except by wicking away a tear surreptitiously). Homer’s take is much more poignant, excepting his commentary about bad slaves who misbehave when their masters are away.

My dog died in my arms two days ago, and my fiance and I were planning for this movie to be our first outing since his passing to get us out of the house. LITERALLY. Thank you for this. This would’ve been a BAD IDEA for tonight.

I’m very sensitive to dogs dying and getting hurt in movies and shows , I just saw it and I’ll said it was very sad and upsetting but it was also so nice seeing the dog see his owner one last time , the final tail wag was so sad to watch but again it was also so rewarding to see him at peace finally , also it shouldn’t stop you from watching the movie a lot of it happens in the first 30 minutes and you don’t see anything graphic
