@theholistichomeschooler: The things we say around our kids become the voices they carry into adulthood. 💔 They don’t need to carry our burdens—they need to feel safe, secure, and deeply loved. Sometimes protecting our children isn’t about what we do… it’s about what we choose not to say. Which one on this list do you think parents overlook the most? 👇❤️ #P#ParentingTipsG#GentleParentingC#ConsciousParentingP#PositiveParentingParentingAdvice
What if we were honest with our kids instead of hiding everything?

Kids need to learn early things do not grow on trees and what you require in life comes at a cost you should always share your financial struggles with your children for otherwise the will grow up with the belief that there is no limit to what you can provide

wrong. be honest. Kids deserve to know the struggles. life isn't perfect. money is hard. we are a big family with 1 income. life's not easy. but they are cared for and fed. they know we can just go out and blow money. they deserve to know some times were not always at a 100%. we have ups and downs. mostly ups. but life happens. they are growing up knowing you have ton work hard for what you want and need.

100% disagree. While there should be limits if kids don’t see parents working though challenges we get what we have now - a polarized society where people have no skills in conflict resolution and give and take. What we need to do is show them in a healthy way how to navigate these life challenges.

Being honest with kids is the way to go now yes certain things should be said to them at certain ages, especially things they may not understand as a young child so yes, hide certain things from them, but eventually tell them when they’re old enough to understand.

Oh I disagree. My father shared many adult struggles either me and it helped shape my maturity and world view. It also gave me a view into his struggle to provide a good life for us. I’ve done the same with my children and it has helped them in similar ways.

Nope. My kids live my life with me. If I don't explain things happening, they don't learn how to get thru them. I also feel like I'm lying to them. 🤷🏼♀️My kids deserve transparency for the things in their life and the questions they ask. Also number 4 is insane.

I do not agree at all!!! What if there is nothing you say to them and they start noticing themselves and ask you !! What do you do, just lie to their faces that everything is perfectly fine.

it depends! You tell them to teach them, not to ask for their help. It’s a good chance to teach them the real life and how you handle it
