I agree that a lot of the Argentina hate has become a trend, but I think singling out girls is a bit unfair because it just feeds into the whole "women can't like football without being judged" narrative. There are plenty of girls who have genuinely loved and followed football for years, yet they're constantly dismissed or assumed to be fake fans because of stereotypes. I have plenty of guy friends who know little to nothing about football and say the exact same things about Argentina. I've also seen countless videos of men doing the same. So why specifically mention girls and Jude? The dislike toward Argentina didn't suddenly start because of Jude, it started long before that. If the point is that people are jumping on a trend, then that applies to everyone regardless of gender. Focusing only on girls ignores the fact that this has been happening across the board and unfairly reinforces stereotypes about women in football.
