Yikes ok we can hold thy entries accountable, we can stop being friends with her, we can not support her in any way shape or form, we can all acknowledge that she needs therapy. But the moment we start demonizing BPD? A literal trauma disorder than can only happen from the brain being developed through childhood & adolescence in consistent abuse? Yeah let’s not do that. Of course ppl who don’t get help can turn around and be awful. When you’ve learned everything on how to interact with people through a lens of abuse, the same tactics that were learned to protect you are toxic as fuck in health relationships. But that doesn’t mean everyone with BPD just cannot be a good person or a good friend. Yeah it takes us more work but for me I went through so much fucking therapy for the sole reason of I didn’t want to hurt the people I love with my mental health and I put insane work in for it. It’s not just going to individual therapy once and group therapy once a week. It’s also putting the work in to change all the hours outside of therapy for over a year and the fact that ppl still have this mentality? There are literally therapists that will tell their clients to not be friends with anyone just because they’ve been given a BPD diagnosis. Again we can have all the feeling about this person in the story without the comments essentially saying “if you’re saying she has Borderline (sidenote: Bipolar is BP btw) just run because if they have BPD they are a horrible demon person that is evil and will murder everyone you love” because if we’re really going to have that conversation then I’m not sure why we’re acting like if it WAS bipolar the same mentality could be used just as quickly? It’s weird as fuck to demonize ANY mental health disorder without any nuance. Idc if they are diagnosed narcissistic personality disorder. Idc what personal experiences you’ve had with people. Because a lot of the times the people who aren’t shit and who have done the healing work on themselves, you have in your life and don’t even know they have that diagnoses. The bad ones are always the loudest.

no the so-called friend should have called the cops immediately and reported it that is extremely cool and we need to rain in this ai bs. multiple people have one lawsuits from people using their images in an AI bot to make an appropriate content.

Just bc someone has past trauma that they use as an excuse for bad behavior, does not mean you have to continue hanging out with them. Society has made us feel guilty if we don’t and that’s unfair to all.

Someone I know is in a very similar situation. She chose her @busive bf over her family and friends. I do think it is another level of delulu. But you can lead a horse to water but can't force it to drink it.

My ex’s best friend SA’d his little disabled sister when his best friend was 14 and she was 10 (she’s immature for her age. Developmental disability. So 10 but mental age of 6). It came to light in our 20’s. The friends mother did this excuse “oh he was bullied really badly in school, he was going through hell” etc. then blamed her saying “she kept coming back to him. She was asking for it”. How my ex didn’t go scorched earth on her or him, I do not know.
