agreed, and our progressive nature also allows these spaces to exist solely for social factors outside of queerness. Many men nowadays that are prog or oppose or want to fit belong into the categorization, find themselves labeling their orientation based of that, to fit into spaces where cishet struggle to. They label themselves as bi or any label that includes afabs and anything alike to still justify queerness by its cogenderend attraction. This also applies to women and not strictly men. IMO Isn’t anyone’s business to invalidate or discredit sexual orientations due to background, exceptions belonging to ppl taking advantage or be predatory of the said social categorization.

I mean men also don’t lie about being gay because being gay is potentially dangerous in the wrong circles, where as for women it’s “sexy” so to fake it only adds cool quirky social points. Obviously this isn’t a 100% true all the time fact but I think it’s just more consequential for men to like men then for women to like women
