Just flip it upside down and open the cover it should just be 3 AA batteries replace them and you should be good✌️

If you have this issue then just unplug the 12v battery and leave it off for 10 minutes then reconnect

My child's prius hybrid did this, ended up being the battery got hot because the vents to battery was blocked. That was a year ago hasn't been a issue again, hope you get lucky.
