@coven.of.curiosity: In March 2018, my life changed overnight. I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare autoimmune disease that attacks the peripheral nervous system. Within days, I was completely paralyzed. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t breathe on my own. I spent weeks on a ventilator, months in hospitals and rehabilitation, and nearly a year learning to walk again. Today, I still live with permanent nerve damage, chronic pain, balance issues, fatigue, and other lasting effects of GBS. But if you’ve found me through my plants, tarot, witchcraft, or the little corner of the internet I’ve been creating, you probably never would have guessed. And that’s the point. Our scars aren’t always visible. Life doesn’t always go back to what it was before, but that doesn’t mean it can’t still become beautiful.
