Beef and Broccoli (Simple Version) Ingredients Let’s cook! • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain • 3 cups broccoli florets • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or avocado) • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce • 1/4 cup water • 2 tablespoons brown sugar • 1 tablespoon cornstarch • 1 teaspoon ginger (optional, fresh or ground) • Cooked white rice for serving Instructions 1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, water, brown sugar, cornstarch, and ginger. Set aside. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside. 3. In the same pan, add remaining oil and broccoli. Cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. 4. Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce and stir well. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything. 5.
