Boulder City Nevada 15 minutes from Hoover damn and lake mead we are just a few feet above dead pool where we can no longer generate power they submitted an application to build one the town flipped out and said no. This week they withdrew their application and BLM just gave them government land within our city limits without any kind of notice or public comment because the land was already approved for solar power and storage. They basically said this is the same thing so no need to alert the town that will have to deal with the outcome and/or respond if there is an incident there.

Abilene Texas here..it’s made the town unbearable. We did not have the infrastructure for this... or the knowledge it was coming.Rock trucks have taken over every road. The ER’s have 60 people waiting for beds. The roach hotels go for $$200 a night IF there’s availability. The rock trucks have destroyed our roads and highways. If I had my rathers it would …go away like some of the factories recently across the us 🫠😬

my county tried to hid a data center to be built on residential zoned land and I was the one who found out first and posted it to our local group. not long ago there was a heavy hauler with what I found out is a major component of data centers. me county is now trying to build a natural gas power plant in a small out skirt town (the residents there are fighting it) and the land zoned for the power plant is 3 to 4 times what they actually need so now I'm curious if that is where they are going to build the failed data center. our county officials are crooked as hell and do for them not for us.
