I would genuinely make the argument that Majima is one of Kiryu's love interests even if not a serious one. I definitely think the writers leaned into it with Majima Everywhere even if purely for comedic purposes (dialogue options with Goromi, pole dancing scene) I also want to mention there's a substory involving Majima and Daigo in Yakuza Dead Souls where Daigo crossdresses and Majima is REALLY into it. Sure, that game might not be canon but i would still consider that evidence to point towards Majima having an interest in men (in canon Dead Souls is a dream Kiryu had so that could also be interpreted as Kiryu suspecting/understanding Majima is into men lmao)

i kinda doubt that karaoke songs have anything to do w/kazumaji specifically. tbh, Majima definitely admires Kiryu for his stubbornness to the cause and his love for fighting whereas what Kiryu admires about Majima is that he is so 'carefree'. Majima is more rough with his approach than Kiryu is, because he cares for the fam and for others differently. The y3 moment pissed me off a lot because the ending wouldn't have happened had Kiryu actually listened to majima 😭 they definitely have some unprocessed tension between them that neither of them really know how to deal with properly even though Majima is trying A LOT. Kiryu definitely sees it to some extent but ye as you mentioned he's too traumatised to really think about it in detail. Great analysis!!! first time I see someone in rgg actually think about both Kiryu and Majima equally and in a more level-headed manner :-)

A question came to my mind, why does Majima want to help Kiryu? Is it really out of friendship or out of love? And I also wondered why Majima dressed as a woman to talk to him?
