For all who doesn’t understand what he is doing:: line on a spool has memory,, by dunking it in water and putting your line on wet it destroys the memory.. Now I can’t tell if this is enough tension but for 60 bucks at bass pro you can get a machine and do it correctly…

What? When I was a kid my dad just had me sit on the other side of the living room with the spool on a screwdriver and drag it with my thumb so it didn't go slack

i just stick a screwdriver though the hole, put it in a vice where it is snug and spool my reels.
