I was married 9 years and he immediately moved on I healed and went to therapy. Since I left a year ago I lost 50lbs, got a better job, I’m back in school and I’m traveling! I just bought my dream car! I don’t feel I’ll be going back to that life for a while. Not because I’m bitter but because I’m happier single and that’s ok!

My friend and I just had a conversation about how I truly believe that people aren’t honest about their relationships. I don’t believe everyone is happily married or in love. I don’t even believe people got married because of love most times. I don’t believe everyone who has kids truly wanted them or wants to be a parent at all. I think a LOT more people mask and put on a front. I’d rather be alone.

For me it's a gift and a curse. I do like the single aspect for the simple fact there is a level of peace, but at the sametime it's nothing like having a peaceful emotional stavle, intellectual partner.

Lately I have no desire to want a relationship last time I tried it was a mess and I felt drained I was putting all the work in, I hated it , now I do enjoy moving on my time and not having to always talk to anyone.
