My young adult daughter has a prosthetic. I can also tell you from a mom point of view, we generally are much more upset than the child when people are being rude, staring, etc. my daughter has a great attitude about it all. Do your best to show your daughter that it does not bother you and she will grow up with a wonderful attitude.

Agreed stuff like that never bothered me, but I have found over the years that my friends or daughter it would bother them. With regards to my daughter, her growing up with me being disabled has definitely opened up her mind and she is pretty creative and she comes up with things to help me function better.
