I’m 31 and I just had my excision surgery on Friday. I wish I would have known more about the disease when I was younger— like your age. It’s a debilitating disease and it definitely needs more awareness. I was also gaslit by multiple doctors and ended up pre-diagnosing myself before I had a diagnostic laparoscopy 6 years ago. Wishing you a healthy recovery ❤️🩹

how long did they say your recovery is going to be? I've had 2 ablation surgeries and I'm having my first excision surgery in sept. Just not sure how long I'll be out of work for 😪

I was showing so many signs of colon cancer, I got a colonoscopy came back clear. I got a ultrasound the one that goes inside you. That came back as having poylps and the wall in my uterus was very thick. Got a biopsy it was endometriosis. I go the 29th to have the poylps removed and a D&C done.Im so scared

our stories are SO similar, down to the disability leave. i don’t have PMOS, but i did start birth control at 14-15, and my symptoms got significantly worse after i got it removed. i really hope you’re able to gain some independence back and live your life girl!! ❤️🩹

So so sorry you’ve gone through this for so long!! I’m so glad you’ve finally had surgery! - I started experiencing symptoms out the blue in March 2020 when I was at work, 6 years and 4 months on I’ve still not seen gynae! The doctor only referred me last March.🫠 last October I was finally given the combined pill to try, it worked for the pain! 8 months down the line I found out I shouldn’t of been taking that and was put on the mini pill. Again it’s working for pain! BUT if it is endo (which I was told that if the pills worked it was definitely likely) the pills would mask the pain. That’s all fine and well but it doesn’t stop it progressing! I too lost so many years of my life 😩 hugs girl🥰

omg i’m so glad u got the help and i hope ur feeling better now, i was on the depo shot for 3ish years and when my period finally came back after so long it’s been horrible, so i went to the doctor and said somethings wrong blah blah and she tried to tell me just to get back on birth control (i stopped getting it bc my moods and really wasn’t feeling well) but now I’ve been diagnosed with severe endometriosis and that’s only from what they could see on an ultrasound and i haven’t gotten the surgery yet, waiting to see the specialist gyno, but my doctor said to expect surgery’s for this n I’m freaking out, and it’s so crazy that i asked for help a couple years ago and just got told to have birth control to stop my periods because of how bad they were. and now here i am basically in constant pain waiting for help.

Okay so I’m 13 so I’m younger and everyone just thinks it’s because I’m younger but I get very bad pains like shooting pains up my back and like my stomach in the lower and I get like kinda flared like my stomach before my period where I can’t move for hours without being in pain and feeling very sick I threw up once from it but now it’s just really bad headaches then my stomach and back always in pain but it’s like before my period and during and a bit after my period and even then off my period if I eat anything like my stomach bloats so much but it’s like idk how to explain it but on my period it bloats so much and it hurts like ugh and I don’t know what to do..

Mine didn’t show up on any scans either ! Had 5 miscarriages and such pain all the time I felt crazy. I was panicked before my surgery that nothing would be find. I had stage 3 and it was EVERYWHERE! My ovary was adhered in such a wrong place !!! And I’ve been pain free for 4 years it’s started to come back a little bit bc it will grow back!

Thank you so much for sharing your story, I’m so deeply sorry you went through that at such a young age. I’m 31 and had my excision surgery on Thursday with Dr. Vidali and also found stage 2 after being dismissed by so many doctors when I would bring up endo as a possibility. As soon as I saw Dr. Vidali for a consult he validated everything. It’s so emotional but we are strong and I am confident we will both feel relief from the surgery! Sending you so much love 💛

So sorry you had to go through that girl! Can I ask if they checked for “sliding sign” during the ultrasound? Mine was positive and they said there’s not a chance for deep endo.. but I’m having every possible symptom, except for maybe shoulder pain😭
