أنا بعمل ذنوب كثيرة وكل ما أتوب أعود إلى الذنب ومش عارف أعمل إيه نصائح ومواعظ فضيلة الشيخ سمير مصطفى فك الله أسره هذه من أجمع النصوص في باب الافتقار إلى الله والتوبة والرجوع إليه: من القرآن ﴿وَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ﴾ [النور: 31]. ﴿وَمَنْ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ﴾ [آل عمران: 135]. ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنْتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ﴾ [فاطر: 15]. ﴿قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ﴾ [الزمر: 53]. قال النبي ﷺ: «يا أيها الناس، توبوا إلى الله واستغفروه، فإني أتوب في اليوم إليه مائة مرة». وقال ﷺ: «كلُّ بني آدم خطَّاء، وخيرُ الخطَّائين التوابون». وقال ﷺ فيما يرويه عن ربه: «يا عبادي، إنكم تخطئون بالليل والنهار، وأنا أغفر الذنوب جميعًا، فاستغفروني أغفر لكم». وقال ﷺ: «لَلَّهُ أشدُّ فرحًا بتوبة عبده حين يتوب إليه...». قال عبد الله بن مسعود:
