@austinfarnworth: The Ashley Gorge Via Ferrata in Vernal, Utah absolutely blew us away. At more than 5 hours from start to finish, the full route was massive, challenging, and easily one of the most incredible adventure experiences we've ever had. Ashley Gorge is considered the longest via ferrata in the United States, and likely the most challenging as well. What surprised us most is that it's completely free and open to the public. You don't have to complete the full route, either. Several different exit points and route options allow you to make the experience shorter and more approachable if you're not looking for quite as much intensity. We both walked away agreeing that this is an absolute must-do for anyone who loves climbing, exposure, and big outdoor adventures.
