I think this issue has also been fueled by the ‘black cat and golden retriever’ ideology that most ‘alpha women and men’ have been propagating these days. The belief that a certain group of people are immune to betrayal from the other gender if they act or carry themselves in a certain way. We have started to forget that a person’s actions towards us is not necessarily our fault at times but simply the doer’s choice. You can’t manipulate someone to treating you in a certain way if it’s not their choice. And like you said it’s just very egotistical to believe anyone is above the program just because of certain traits or actions.
