Not everything that happens is God's will or part of what He desires. Catholics distinguish between what God positively wills and what He permits because people have free will. An abortion is understood as a human choice, not something God wants, even if He can bring good out of tragic situations

yeah if God wasn't "all powerful" then you could say that have knowledge of it doesn't mean he caused it. However if he's all-powerful and created everything and also all-knowing and knew the result beforehand, then he's also directly responsible for everything. So either he isn't all-powerful, or he isn't all-knowing, or he is the source of all evil, or he doesn't exist.
