Have them sign a piece of paper before they leave the shop saying it has been inspected and it is free and clear of any stains, rips, tears, all of that. That solves the problem.

Alterations should be cost on a service basis- if I lost that much weight I’d think I’d be happy to pay extra for more alterations. I’d just be so concerned that the dress would be ruined for not getting the right size. How can a dress look right altered 2-3 sizes smaller?!!

After i picked up my dress 45 years ago, my dress fitte d perfectly. But I was so busy before my wedding, i lost some weight. My dress was a little big on top, but what can you do? It was still beautiful
