@anitamironbeauty: For HER and THEM, because there are two parts to this story. 1. When I lost my son Jack at 32 weeks and then went on to lose another baby boy at 21 weeks I was at my lowest point mentally and spiritually. I was utterly broken. I thought that I would never make it back to who I used to be. I believed I would never feel the same youthful, joyful energy I carried with me before I lost my babies. But some where inside of all of that pain was a small voice that whispered “but you have to at least try.” And that is all it took. Every day I heard her whisper to me. It was and small piece of me that still had hope. I also took a look at my husband and daughter and knew that I had to fight to get back to who I was for them. Because they deserved that. It took me 7 years to say that I felt like her again… 7 whole years. 2. When I lost my babies I looked at them both and said “I will do whatever I had to do to bring honor to their little lives.” When I held Jack in my arms I kept saying to my Husband and to my family “I am going to adopt a little boy with special needs and give him an incredible life.” And that is exactly what we did. In that process I found joy and healing. Watching our little Warren take his first steps, play in the ocean, travel the world, and shock us with his progress gave me purpose that I felt was missing from my life. Warren completed our family and my heart. In 2019 we tried one more time and became pregnant with a baby girl and lost her after 20 weeks. Again, I felt so sad and defeated. Eric got a vasectomy to protect me from going through that brutal sadness again. A chapter in my life closed … but another opened, HEALING and a strength I never dreamed imaginable. I fought for them and I fought for me. Brick by brick. Day by day. Because of that voice “you have to atleast try.” 7 whole years. Don’t give up!!
