This is usually caused by inconsistent watering, low fertility, or incomplete pollination, are they getting enough water?๐ I wanted to let you know Iโm building Indigo Agri Connections, a grassroots digital farmers market based in education focused on transparency and access. I also host Clearing the Fog, breaking down food labels and terms in plain English. If this speaks to you, follow along.

from what I understand, they curve when there isn't enough water! they need to be "overwatered" mine have always come out straight and the one week that i didn't water as much, they did curve, after that I continued to constantly water 2x per day and haven't had that happen again!

Uneven watering, try using a diy drip system that keeps soil moist not wet

sun hits it directly...Not enough leaf coverage. you should have planted the seeds every 2 inches each side of the trellis

I have a few that have done this. Itโs most likely from the soil drying out so fast.

Our favorite summer drink is Cuke-o-melon Juice. Peel and seed a cantaloupe, peel the same amount of cucumber. Liquify in a blender, pour through a fine mesh strainer. Service chilled, also makes a great cocktail.

Iโm having the same problem. I planted Boston pickling and Japanese cucumbers next each other and have picked some wild looking cukes lately.

Iโve read that incomplete pollination is the most likely cause.
