@mycancerchic: SOS… why does my boob look like this?? No but really, if you wake up and something feels a little off.. don’t panic! Implants CAN flip, and this is actually more common than you think after breast reconstruction. You’ll be able to tell if the shape looks off particularly flat in the top where it should be rounded. It’s something I had no idea about until it happened to me and I panicked and face times my surgeon and he talked me through flipping it back. I couldn’t do it at first because of my so Mac did it like an all star! Now when it happens I can easily do it myself. Post-cancer healing loves to keep things interesting! But good news, flipping your implant back is a simple trick you can learn at home. It can be corrected with surgeon but I am not trying to have another surgery right now and notice it only happens occasionally depending on how I sleep.
