What an exciting day - my first 4 minute mini documentary aired live on @This Morning all about the objectification of women in the media. ☺️❤️🎬 Honestly I’m so grateful to the whole team at This Morning for giving me this opportunity to have a look at how we judge and objectify women and police their clothing. It all started when I went on This Morning wearing an epic purple suit from Nadine Merabi. It was love at first sight! When I first tried it on my bra showed - I was still breastfeeding and all my bras were quite high. I went to go get measured and I was recommended an amazing bra to wear that actually fit me properly. I was absolutely delighted when I realised I could wear the three piece suit without my bra showing- so I wore it! Ironically, I was discussing the objectification of women on tv after Hannah Waddingham was told to show off her legs. And when I came off air I couldn’t believe the discussion around my cleavage. Honestly, I’ve had these comments ever since I first got b00bs as a 14 year old child. ATTENTION SEEKER! WH*RE ! COVER UP IF YOU WANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. Honestly, whether I’ve been 14, in my 30s, breastfeeding, or just having fun in my 20 I can assure you I have NEVER wanted attention on my b00bs. It’s impacted my confidence for years. And if your respect for women is dependent on their body type or them covering up then let me tell you - you do not respect women. The sexualisation of the female body and the judgement on how we dress is stopping brilliant women from getting into politics. It’s stopping women from feeling good in their body. One day, Ada might have my body type. And I don’t want her to have to have her morals, values, or intelligence questioned because society cannot stop hypersexualising the female body. Enough it enough! Anyway, thank you so so much for all the kind words. And also the mean ones, because I wouldn’t have been given this opportunity without the haters. 😆🤍📺 I’m back on the This Morning sofa tomorrow. See you there! 🙏 #fyp
