I knew a gal with gastro paralysis. Would not wish that on my worst enemy. She could only keep down a protein shake, but it took her 3 hours to drink it.

In another video she said she paid $45 for 30mg, which means it was the compounded unregulated medication. One of the biggest risks with these sources is that you can be taking a much larger dosage without realizing it, and most side effects occur when you increase doses. The difference is 1/1000s of a gram. It requires a lot of machinery and testing to guarantee the medicine in every dose and you’re not getting that quality for $5 a week off a random website. The same principle is the cause of accidental ODs. Get the real meds if at all possible! This will also require that you are under a Dr's supervision. They will order frequent labs and account for your personal medical history. This medical care is not cheap, but you wouldn't take chemo you ordered off the internet and expect to be okay. Don't buy compounded.

I mean this politely so please know I ask out of concern. Did you eat the way you were suppose to, drink the amount of water required and take vitamins. I hate for others to be afraid of this med, so as much info you share is important.

I had gastroparesis before i started taking wegovy oral. After being on it for 4 months, I now have a better functioning gut than I have had in about 10 years. 🤷🏻♀️

GLP-1s slow digestion. Sometimes gastroparesis occurs but usually resolves after the medication is stopped. Eating fiber, drinking water, and walking is very helpful for gut motility. I'm surprised, however, your physician didn't explain all of this to you to coach you through it.

Hey! So semi glutide did this to me and you need to get off your GLP1 immediately if you keep it up you might end up on a feeding tube. So go to a gastro doctor and ask for Lubiprostone. You take it in the middle of two meals a day and it makes your stomach cramp and reawaken it. You might be on it for 6 months to 2 years or life like me. It did wake up my stomach after 2 years but I still take it. I eat VERY little sometimes once a day and haven’t lost a pound in 2 years because my body is in flight or fight mode. It honestly sucks. Hopefully it’s not to bad for you!

Gastroparesis is chronic for some people. But I have seen that for those who developed due to the medication go back to normal after they stop the medication.

Had Gastroparesis before I went onto Ozempic. Still taking Ozempic. Ive always eaten a Gastroparesis diet. Likely wont come off the glp1 because of diabetes.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Gastroparesis is a devastating disease, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I'm hearing more and more reports of people developing gastroparesis after taking GLP-1 medications. While these medications have absolutely helped many people and do have an important place in medicine, the potential risk of developing a life-altering condition like gastroparesis needs to be part of every informed discussion before starting them. Losing the ability to eat and digest food normally can completely change a person's life. It led to a feeding tube for me, and many people end up requiring TPN, which carries serious risks and can affect life expectancy. People deserve to understand both the benefits and the potential long term consequences before making that decision.

I was extremely anorexic for years. I have gastric paresis even two years after recovery. Now fighting cancer. I keep warning those on GLP’s. This is a horrible condition. There are meds that can help but I eat small meals. No bread. Best of luck to you!!
