When our viszla bit our daughter and had aggression issues towards me, we all needed training. Handing her off to the pound wasn’t an option. We had her for many years after that until cancer. THAT was the right thing to do for a member of the family.

People suck. I got a Dalmatian off Craigslist their excuse was they had a baby. He came to me not fixed with extreme anxiety. He was a car chaser I suspect he was chained up on a busy road. He was also deaf. I scheduled his neuter and I got a text from the old owners asking me to breed him to try and get a non deaf puppy! What?! I told them he was already fixed and blocked their number. All he needed was to learn some signs and he was good as gold.

Long story short, My dog bit my forearm, broke the skin. It hurt so bad I cried. But I resolved to do what I could to a) not let him get so worked up/dog reactive, and b) stick it out, not give up on him. That was 5 years ago. He’s doing much better now. ❤️
