nothing against Madge cuz she rocks and i relate to her art style and lifestyle, but i'm salty that i live in the days of "if you draw like this you'll end up just having nothing and dying on the street" and not "you can dedicate countless hours to coping with your art and people will offer you thousands of dollars for it". like... i feel like a spirit is guiding my hand too sometimes but we don't get to say that anymore or we get locked up and drugged like a mule lmao. jealous af of Madge, wish I could live like that

I actually had a similar experience with my hand being “guided”. They even ordered an MRI for me. It lasted for 17 months. I miss making art with it. I have all of the paintings tucked away as well.

not diagnosing her or anything but i genuinely find it so interesting that there is a similar pattern/style of drawing in people who experience psychosis. not saying what pattern/style it is but please look up other artists' art who are diagnosed with schizophrenia
