@dakotabrooks992: I get asked all the time, “Where’s your husband?” And the answer is almost always the same… he’s at work. He’s a blue-collar man, and if he’s not at work, he’s working on something for our family. He’s never been the type to sit still. He works long hours, makes sacrifices without complaining, and does everything he can to make sure we never go without. Today was the perfect example. After working all day, he still came straight to the campground just to spend time with me and the kids. He could’ve gone home to rest, but family always comes first to him. People probably wonder why I’m always doing things on my own, (Even though I already knew how to do most) (I’m the full package 😉 HAHA) The truth is, he taught me how. He has made me so independent. He’s taught me to figure things out, fix things, work hard, and not be afraid to get my hands dirty. Because of him, I don’t have to wait around for someone else to do something for me, and there’s something incredibly empowering about that. I honestly think every woman should know how to do hard things. I know his job keeps him away more than we’d like, but every hour he spends working is another way he’s loving us and providing for us. We don’t take that for granted. We love you so much. Thank you for every sacrifice, every lesson, every long day, and every ounce of love you pour into this family. I love this! My husband works all the time for us too. Most don’t understand we couldn’t make it off my teacher salary without him and he never complains but no matter how many hours he’s worked he never turns down time with us. One thing I make sure is to tell my kids (since they are 9,8&5 and don’t understand why he works so much) every single thing we are doing is because Daddy worked hard for us to be able to do it. He gets credit every chance I can give it and always will! These types of marriages aren’t made for the easy wives they are made for loyal ones! 🫶🏻
