@cultureapothecary: Is PMOS a better name for PCOS? Your doctor might be making you sicker — and he'd know, because he was one of them 💊 Dr. Ken Berry @kendberrymd — board-certified family physician and bestselling author of Lies My Doctor Told Me — reveals how weak evidence and industry influence shaped the medical advice you've been told your whole life. He breaks down the truth about cholesterol during pregnancy, becoming osteoporosis-proof, the rise of insulin resistance in women, and why the same diet gets totally different results for different people 👀 Watch this episode now with @realalexclark on @cultureapothecary on YouTube, Apple, and Spotify 🔗 #nutrition #healthandwellness #christian #holistichealth #nontoxic #crunchymom #holistichealing #womenshealth #tradwife #sahm #stayandhomemom #alexclark #womensreproductiverights #womensreproductivehealth #reproductive #pcos #pmos #fertility #infertility
True. But the cysts are different. Normally each month there’s a single follicular cyst, becoming a corpus luteum cyst after ovulation occurs, and that goes away once ovulation has passed, leading to menstruation. With PCOS/PMOS cysts, they’re not the same. They have multiple follicles and are associated with chronic irregular and anovulatory cycles. Often they can become hemorrhagic or endometriomas. They’re filled with blood or fluid.

No two cases of PMOS are same. Every woman is different and so is the metabolism. I am glad PCOS is finally rebranded and it has and will help in early detection and treatment.

So i was diagnosed with “lean PCOS” and I am not diabetic or high blood sugar. Only thing I could maybe agree with is chronic random inflammation

the "cysts" aren't cysts they're follicles that don't mature. and a number of people with PMOS get ovaries like that ..they look like cysts on a sonogram but aren't

YES! This breakdown of women's health issues is so validating. It's not just 'bad periods' for us with endo, it's so much more.

No, not every single woman has cysts. Man, I love it when men try to explain women's bodies.

I love how men try to explain how the female body works like they go through the same things we do. Just because you change the name doesn't mean anything. Not every women's body functions the same.
