Time is experiencing very distant unnoticeable momentum through the cosmos. Hypothetically if we were to enter a paradoxical cycle like Hofstadter’s Strange Loop, time travel would be possible. Futurama was able to capture the idea, if you eventually reach the end of time, where entropy and order become the same, where energy is evenly spread, the Big Bang could happen again. A perfect equilibrium that eventually leads to a rapid expansion, almost like in Agar.io when you split yourself, come back together, and repeat the process. Maybe our universe is similar to that game, where each time we split and come back together we grow somehow

a good way I like to think about special relativity is that a completely stationary object is "travelling" at lightspeed through the time direction. And as that object approaches the speed of light in the spacial dimensions, the time direction has a smaller component of the total velocity, so we "move" slower through time.

Perhaps time travel into the past isn't really "possible", or at least in a weird way undiscovered at current. But, we can probably get a glimpse into the past. For example, our star, the Sun, is about 8 light minutes away from us, wherein it takes about 8 minutes for the light from it to reach us. If it went out, we wouldn't know for 8 minutes (iirc). Likewise, stars from afar are showing us their "past" relative to our "present". If, in some way, we could travel really fast and really far to a faraway star area, we would have traveled faster than the time it takes the light from Earth to reach that area, and then we could glimpse into Earth's past. Of course, this requires a speed of travel really fast, like a Tachyon, and is probably impossible, but it is an interesting conjecture to think about.

Time is both the past, present and the future. Medium in change is the best way to describe it.

Can we go slower through time too?
