I have a deaf sheepadoodle too and have to do the same thing. She is 7 now and is still gently woken up every time I leave the room 🤍

this just gave me so many feels, I had a 13 yo Dalmatian that became deaf later in life and I always tapped her when I left a room so she knew I didn’t leave and every single time I was leaving the house I’d show her my purse and blow her kisses so she could watch me leave and wouldn’t be looking for me until I came back
