The emphasis on “loves and respects her father” is a HUGE red flag. It’s one thing to respect your parents, but why single out only the father? He wants someone who is going to look at him, because he’s much older, as a father figure and give him unconditional authority without question. The same way a child would give to their father. This man thinks he’s slick by saying “healthy” when he just means naive.

Does he not realize that he’s not in a position to be choosy? When people say they’re looking for a doctor, they mean attendings, not residents. Residents are usually the worst of all worlds- broke with no work-life balance, no control over their schedule, and emotionally traumatized.
