Unfortunately so many games regularly need updates and so a burned copy would be out of date within 3 months. I wish games would launch completed more often

While Steam is only a Licence, yes, Steam does not just remove games from your library. If the game is only removed from the shop, it is still in your library and you can play it. If a game is actually removed from your library, mostly if the game is legally banned in the country your account is registered, Steam gives full refunds the moment they do, no matter your playtime and you get notified of such. Happened to one Game I had, full refund despite about 30 hours in the game with an additional 10% discount on the next game I bought. Steam actively tries to make the best of it in that regard.

i’m really new to playing video games, so I don’t really understand a lot of things. I bought some Tomb Raider games on Ubisoft but now I’m realising I don’t actually own those games right? what about games acquired while sailing the high seas?😅
