All the negative comments on here about MacArthur and Calvinism, I’m not going to argue or mudsling on this issue for I was in your shoes & beliefs for years. I hated what Calvinism stood for. I found it “Unfair” on man’s part to not have a say so in my own salvation! I’ve lived long enough now to realize how depraved I truly am, dead spiritually in sin. I want NOTHING to do with God’s fairness knowing we would all be damned if He were “fair” with us. I know now that God made me to differ (1 Cor 4:7). I know if God hadn’t chosen me that I Never would have chosen Him. I thank God everyday that He is Sovereign, Merciful to sinners like me. I have great admiration for giants like MacArthur who stood firmly for the truth. It would have been much easier to tell mortal man what he wants to hear but John was concerned about glorifying the Father instead of being popular in the pulpit. Once again, for all the negative comments, “There but for the Grace of God go I.”

Saving faith is a gift, as is repentance of sin. Neither of those things happen without the person and Work of the Holy Spirit drawing that person to Christ. It doesn’t mean they have no free will, but the unregenerate person must be resurrected spiritually in order to be a true believer. They don’t do that themselves.

yes because they won't come unable until they are tired of the life and they are seeking hope only in Christ Jesus then the holyspirt will meet them and they must die to self and live now the New life the life of a man or women of God because you then know were you were and that was a slave to the devil 👿 and nothing less that then you and I were hell 🔥 bound and now you can go until your family and friends the good news of what Jesus Christ did and changed your life completely a whole different person that you are because God now lives in you not the devil
